Paul and Jeanne Kahl owned a successful restaurant in New York for thirty years, where Chef Tai was a regular. When Chef Tai decided to open an Italian restaurant in College Station, he immediately thought of Paul and Jeanne. Wanting to bring the flavors of New York and Southern Italy to the residents of College Station, Paul and Jeanne partnered with Chef Tai to create a unique New York style culinary destination for the Brazos Valley to enjoy. With their daughter getting her PhD from Texas A&M and starting a family, it was an easy choice for Paul and Jeanne to make the move from New York to Texas. Paul and Jeanne moved the head chef of their New York restaurant, Jose Lazo, and his family down, and with Chef Tai combined New York Flavors with College Station to create a menu with generations worth of experience.
