Manahan
Providing a Home & Work for Adults with Disabilities for Over 40 Years
120 S Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo, Ohio, 43615
Manahan, formerly Josina Lott Residential & Community Services, provides a home and respite for adults with developmental disabilities. We work with them on relationship building, goal-oriented tasks and sustainable skills that provide a sense of accomplishment and independence.
Our adult day program, River Crossings, was founded in 2008 in Sylvania. Individuals work on personal skills, have vocational opportunities to earn a paycheck, numerous opportunities for community integration, leisure options, skill development & giving back.
Manahan was founded in 1979 by Fred & Judy Fleischer who had two disabled sons and wanted them in a smaller, home-like facility rather than a large, institutional setting. They originally chose to honor Josina Lott, a DD pioneer in the 1930s, by naming the home after her.
